If you are looking for ideas on character training, check out this site. Home Life Ministries has provided some great character trait resources for free! There are 38 character traits that you can click on and print out all kinds of great ideas for teaching the trait. If you scroll down towards the bottom on the left side, you can can also print out a chart listing the 49 Operational Definitions of Character Qualities (like the Duggars have on their site, but a little different).
Also, if you are familiar with IBLP's giant books called Character Sketches or their thin little Character Booklets (for younger children and ones we use regularly and I highly recommend!), then you will recognize that the information from the website above is compatible with the booklets, sketch books, and the Commands of Christ series.
